Every child matters

Every child mattersThis is the basic concept adopted by OFSTED (The Office of Standards in Education) whose role and aim is to raise standards and improve the quality of these young lives. Dot to Dots Daycare is registered with OFSTED and as such we are inspected on a regular basis, at least once every three years and without notice and we work towards achieving their five stated priorities, Health, Safety, Enjoyment and Achievement, Positivity and Economic Wellbeing.

Healthy nutrition

This is as important as education in the overall development of children trusted to Dot to Dots Daycare. In undertaking this we endeavour to cater for various dietary requirements, allergies etc., whilst at the same time ensuring that the meals and snacks that we supply are appealing to the young appetite. Consequently, wherever possible, meals and snacks provided consist of fresh, wholesome produce for health and flavoured accordingly for appetite

Nutrition feeds both the body and the mind and as such is a high priority at Dot to Dots Daycare.  Please feel free to ask any questions and advise us of any special dietary arrangements in respect of your child..

Health and safety

Health and Safety is a necessary factor in all our lives but crucially in the case of young children.  At Dot to Dots Daycare your child is allocated a key worker who via the special relationship developed with the child will be able to assess progress and plan activities accordingly.  Children are supervised at all times and parental consent is required in respect of all additional activities, trips etc., even use of our play station.

Development and learning

Development and learningThis starts with our adherence at Dot to Dots Daycare to the Birth to the Early Years Foundation Stage mentioned previously and consisting of the following categories:-

The Early Years Foundation Stage replaces frameworks of Birth to Three Matters and the Foundation Stage Curriculum, which separated children into 2 separate age groups. The new Early Foundation Stage is designed to meet the needs of all children from the ages of birth to 5 years and is a detailed and comprehensive framework which supports childcare workers to meet the needs of every child within their care. The framework is also the basis for Ofsted Inspections and includes set welfare requirements which each childcare provider needs to meet in order to remain registered with Ofsted.

At Dot to Dots Daycare, our planning and assessment system ensures that all children are provided for based on their individual needs and requirements and your own wishes. We take parents needs and wants extremely seriously and work closely alongside you to ensure that the care your child receives when with us is of the best quality possible. We provide you with regular development reports and use parent meetings as a timet to sit down with your child's key worker to discuss their progress and answer any queries you may have. This system works well along with the daily conversations you have with Dot to Dots staff and ensures that we can maintain strong relationships with you and your child.

Please feel free to call and arrange an appointment to come and look around and discuss your childcare needs at any time.
