For those in the Bolton area the answer to the problem is manifested at Dot to Dots Daycare at Astley Bridge where the childcare partake of enjoyment and learning starts from just a few months old and extends to the ripe old age of 11!

Teeny Tots under the age of two can start their day as early as 7.45am incorporating various sessions, the last one and the complete day finishing at 6.00pm. Under the supervision of specifically trained staff Dot to Dots adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage with the children receiving individual care and attention and the parent receiving a daily report including information as to diet, sleep and activities. The ladder of progression then continues.

This next stage, Dinky Dots, is designed for two to three year olds and with the same level of care and supervisionThis next stage, Dinky Dots, is designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years and with the same level of care and supervision as enjoyed when a Teeny Tot they are introduced to a wide range of toys and equipment both indoors and outdoors designed to stimulate senses of freedom, choice and independence. Sessions for Dinky Dots are flexible with the of sessional or full day care available.

Then between the ages of three and five they join the Pre-School group where curriculum planning, termly topics, structured activities and the Early Years Foundation Stage form the basis for their quality educational learning programmes in readiness for life in primary school. Here Dot to Dots Daycare extends further to cover provision of Before and After School clubs and the delivery and collection of children to and from a number of local primary schools. Obviously parents’ work obligations rarely fit in with school holidays and this is where Dot to Dots Holiday Club fills the gap!

The After School Club which is called "Dots at St. Paul's" is based within St. Paul's CE Primary School on Newnham Street. This is less than one minutes walk from the nursery. "Dots at St. Paul's" club is an extension of Dots to Dots Daycare and is a 40 place club, using the school's facilities. They have the use of craft rooms, IT suites, school hall, library and outdoor playgrounds. They also have use of school sports equipment and a range of large motor apparatus. The school provides 'Dots' with the space needed to enable them to offer the children at the club a wide range of energetic activities as well as ample opportunity for quiet and less strenuous ones. They collect children from 3 local primary schools and take them back to the club within the school, where parents can collect them at the end of the day.
